Hand-Dyed in Eugene, Oregon
Every skein is hand-painted in small batches, one dye pot at a time. No two are ever quite the same — and that's the point.
Our Story
I started this shop in 2009 as a way to build something entirely my own — a small act of independence that grew into a way of life. I'm a Navy veteran, a mother of four, and after ten states and a whole lot of road behind me, I've put down roots in Eugene, Oregon with my husband, our blended and multicultural family, two Saint Bernards, three cats, and a pair of very opinionated rabbits.
I've been through more than I ever expected to survive — twice over, and counting — and dyeing yarn by hand became my way of staying tethered to something steady and beautiful when very little else was. Every skein still starts the same way it did back then: one pot, one color story, my own two hands.
When I'm not at the dye pots, I'm knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, gardening, hiking, snowboarding, or chasing waves. I believe deeply in human rights, in protecting the people and places that don't get protected enough, and in making things that outlast a trend. That belief is dyed into every skein that leaves this shop.
